Body found in Parkland house, Broward Sheriff’s Office investigating

PARKLAND – The discovery of a body in a house in the Heron Bay development in Parkland is being treated as a suspicious death by the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies said.

According to a statement released Sunday afternoon by the Sheriff’s Office, a body was found in a home in the 12400 block of Northwest 78 Manor. Homicide detectives were on scene.

“The death is considered suspicious at this time,” the statement said.

A Sheriff’s Office spokesperson will be providing an update to the media at 1:45 p.m.

The Sheriff’s Office also said the initial information should be considered “preliminary” and could change as the situation develops.
